How to Put on a Latex Catsuit

Putting on a latex garment is the trickiest part of mastering latex. It’s a skill that separates the enthusiast from the true connoisseur. It’s important to allow yourself plenty of time to get ready—no one has ever successfully put on a catsuit in a rush.

  1. Remove all jewellery, rings, bracelets, watches: Remove anything that could snag on your latex and cause it to rip. Even long, sharp fingernails can be a liability.
  2. Ensure your skin is clean and dry, then apply a silicone-based dressing aid or talcum powder: Avoid applying any oils or moisturising creams beforehand. While these products may feel easier to slide into, they cause the latex to break down and become damaged, ultimately shortening its lifespan.
  3. Start at the bottom and work your way up. Carefully roll the leg as if you were putting on a pair of tights. The lubricant or powder will help the material glide over your skin.
  4. Glide the catsuit up your leg. Starting at the ankle, use a smooth, upward rolling motion to slide the catsuit onto the first leg. The objective is a continuous, smooth rolling motion. Do not pull or stretch the material excessively.
  5. Slide up the second leg, rolling both legs up to ensure the latex remains smooth and even.
  6. Continue this rolling motion up the body portion of the catsuit, applying more lubricant as needed.
  7. Prevent the vacuum. Gradually position the latex where it needs to be as you move it up your body. As you pull the rubber on, it will begin to cling to the skin. You must ensure you are gradually positioning the latex and aligning the seams before it fully adheres. Once the vacuum forms between the material and your skin, it becomes extremely difficult to adjust, and trying to pinch the rubber can lead to breakage. Be patient and make deliberate, small movements until you are happy with the placement.
  8. Moving on to the arms, slip your hand through the wrist hole and roll the sleeves up, just as you did with the legs.
  9. Zip up the catsuit. If your latex catsuit has a zipper, you may want to ask someone for help. A ribbon tied into the eye of the zipper can help to pull up a zip solo. Think surf suit.
  10. Finally, use a latex-shining product to give your catsuit that incredible glossy appearance that will get heads turning. You can use the same silicone-based lubricant you used for dressing to treat the latex whilst it’s on the body for this sleek final touch.

Tip: Don’t combine lubricant and talc as this can create a paste – and a mess!

Common issues when putting on latex

ProblemSimple Solution
The Material is Sticking/DraggingYou didn’t use enough dressing aid. Stop immediately, pull the material back slightly, and apply a more generous amount of silicone-based lubricant to the affected area. It’s important to ensure that any lubricant you use is silicone-based, not water-based, as this won’t work. We also suggest not combining talcum powder and lube as this will create a paste and, frankly, a mess.
Creases or Wrinkles Have FormedGently press and massage the creased area to work the air pockets out. This issue usually happens when the material is pulled instead of rolled. Do not use your fingernails.
PastingPasting occurs if you attempt to mix talcum powder and silicone lubricant. Choose one dressing aid and commit to it. Clean the area, dry it, and start again with the preferred single aid.

How do you keep latex clothes from sticking?

Expert-level latex wearers may be able to put their items on without assistance, but beginners may struggle without the help of a dressing aid. If you need help slipping into your latex, a bit of talcum powder or a silicone-based lubricant will reduce the friction between your skin and the garment. Lubricant makes for an easier dressing process and a more pleasant experience while wearing your latex.

Is latex difficult to wear?

Once it’s on, latex is a pleasure to wear. With the right preparation, latex provides a euphoric, second-skin feel, which no other material can emulate.

Can I put a latex catsuit on without lubricant?

While possible for expert wearers, it is not encouraged. Donning a latex catsuit without a silicone-based dressing aid or talcum powder can increase the friction between the latex and your skin, potentially leading to tearing and unnecessary stretching of the garment.

The Digest TL;DR

The key to successfully wearing a latex catsuit is preparation and patience.

  1. Remove all jewellery and sharp objects.
  2. Apply a generous amount of a silicone-based dressing aid or talcum powder to your clean, dry skin. Never use oil or water-based products.
  3. Use a gentle, upward-rolling motion to put on the catsuit, similar to putting on tights, working from the ankles upwards.
  4. Avoid pulling or stretching the material to prevent breakage and creasing.
  5. Once dressed, finish with a shining product for a flawless, high-gloss appearance.
