The Big Red Latex Edit: Styling Red Latex Clothing
Red has an extraordinary presence in fashion. Immediate, energetic and visually confident, it can transform even a simple silhouette and has been used for generations across tailoring, eveningwear, performance clothing and contemporary design.
Latex gives red another dimension. The smooth surface of natural rubber latex sheeting reflects light differently from woven fabrics, intensifying colour and emphasising the lines, panels and proportions of a garment. From a streamlined catsuit or fitted dress to corsetry, separates and accessories, red latex creates a strong visual identity without requiring complicated styling.
Within Westward Bound, red can also take several directions. Classic Red provides a clear, saturated colour, while finishes such as Pearl Sheen Red and Pearl Sheen Claret Red introduce additional depth and variation.
This edit explores how red latex can be worn, coordinated and photographed through Westward Bound designs for women and men.

Why Does Red Make Such an Impact in Fashion?
Red attracts attention quickly, which is one reason it has remained such an enduring fashion colour. Depending on the garment and how it is styled, it can appear graphic, elegant, playful, dramatic or confidently understated.
That versatility is particularly apparent in latex. A red pencil dress creates a very different impression from a flared mini dress; a red biker jacket can provide one strong element within an otherwise simple outfit, while a full catsuit creates an uninterrupted line of colour.
The effect is therefore not created by colour alone. Silhouette, proportion, neckline, sleeve length, fastening, contrast detailing and accessories all influence how a red latex garment is perceived.
Fashion and cinema have repeatedly demonstrated the lasting visual impact of red, from sharply cut suits and evening gowns to memorable screen costumes. Its appeal lies partly in that ability to remain unmistakable while adapting to very different periods and styles.
Red Latex Corsetry, Lingerie & Accessories
Red does not have to be worn from head to toe. Combining several garments allows the colour to be introduced through different proportions, surfaces and layers.
In Portland, Maine, Carrie LaChance combines Westward Bound corsetry, a latex top, stockings and mitts to create a coordinated look in which each garment contributes a different shape and line.

When to Wear Red Latex
Red latex can be styled far beyond a complete statement outfit.
A catsuit, for example, can become a foundation layer beneath an oversized jumper, sweatshirt or jacket, with trainers creating a more relaxed contrast. The uninterrupted colour remains visible at selected points while the outer layers change the overall proportion of the outfit.
For an evening look, a red latex top can be combined with denim, trousers or a skirt rather than another latex garment. This approach allows the surface and colour of the latex to become the focal point while familiar wardrobe pieces provide contrast.
Outerwear offers another route. A red latex biker jacket worn with jeans or simple separates introduces colour and shine without requiring the rest of the outfit to follow the same material.
The principle is straightforward: red latex can be the entire look, or it can be the single element around which everything else is built.

Behind the Scenes: A Red Latex Fashion Shoot in Montpellier
A fashion shoot in Montpellier, South of France, demonstrates another approach to red latex: combining strongly defined separates within a carefully composed editorial look.
Model Romaine Smith wears Westward Bound red latex photographed by Nath-Sakura, with hair by Christophe Pujol and make-up by Rachel Sintes.
The Peplum Top introduces structure and volume through the waistline, while stockings and briefs continue the colour through the lower half of the composition. Using garments with different proportions prevents an all-red outfit from becoming visually flat.

Red Latex Catsuits
Few garments display colour as continuously as a latex catsuit. Extending from the upper body through the legs, a catsuit creates an uninterrupted silhouette in which colour, panel construction and garment line can be viewed as a whole.
Red works particularly well with this format because subtle differences in seam placement, neckline, sleeve length and fastening remain visible despite the consistency of colour.
Styling can also change the result considerably. A red catsuit can be worn as a complete look or used beneath knitwear, jackets and other layers so that only selected sections remain visible.
Selected Latex Catsuits
Westward Bound catsuits may be ordered in colours including Red, Pearl Sheen Red and Pearl Sheen Claret Red, subject to the colour options shown for the individual design.
Red Latex Dresses
A red latex dress combines one of fashion's most established colour statements with an exceptionally varied garment category.
The result can range from compact mini and pencil silhouettes to flared, cocktail, midi and full-length designs. A streamlined dress places emphasis on line and proportion, while fuller skirt shapes create movement and a very different relationship between the latex surface and light.
Neckline, sleeve treatment, hem length and contrasting trim provide further ways to change the character of the colour.
Selected Red Latex Dresses
Westward Bound latex dresses are available in an extensive choice of colours, including Red, Pearl Sheen Red and Pearl Sheen Claret Red, where offered for the individual design.
Men's Red Latex Clothing
Red also has a strong place within the Westward Bound menswear collection.
Men's latex catsuits create a continuous colour line, while shirts, T-shirts and tops allow red to be introduced through the upper body. Jeans, trousers, leggings and boxer shorts offer further options, and accessories can be used to introduce smaller areas of colour within an otherwise contrasting outfit.
The same colour can therefore move from a complete all-in-one design to a single shirt, jacket or accessory depending on how prominently it is intended to feature.
Selected Men's Latex Designs
Men's Westward Bound garments can be produced in Red and related red finishes where these colours are available for the individual design.
Red Latex in the Dolomites
Nikita Caslida - Red Latex Against the Italian Landscape
The contrast between polished red latex and the natural landscape of the Dolomites gives this look its visual strength. Nikita Caslida combines two Westward Bound separates, allowing the peplum shapes of the top and skirt to create a coordinated silhouette without becoming a single uninterrupted garment.

Coordinating Red Latex Separates
Paige Starr in Matching Westward Bound Red Latex
Matching separates offer another way to create a continuous colour story while retaining the flexibility of individual garments.
Paige Starr combines a sleeveless latex top with matching briefs and coordinating thigh cuffs. The result demonstrates how repetition of colour across garments with different proportions can create a unified look without relying on a dress or catsuit.
How to Wear Latex Clothing
Red may provide the colour inspiration, but fit, dressing technique and considered styling all influence how a latex garment looks and feels when worn.
If you are new to one-piece designs, our guide to how to put on a latex catsuit explains the dressing process step by step. For further styling ideas, see how to incorporate latex into everyday fashion.
Before ordering, the Latex Clothing Size & Measuring Guide explains Westward Bound Standard and Bespoke sizing and how to take accurate body measurements.
Whether you choose a complete red latex outfit or introduce the colour through a single garment, the most successful result comes from combining colour with proportion, fit and considered styling.
