    European Lace Artistry Reinterpreted

The Bordelle-L'Amour Printed Lace Collection draws upon the ornamental artistry of historic European lace-making. Interlacing lines, botanical forms and intricate pattern have given lace an enduring place within fashion, where its visual richness has been continually reinterpreted across changing silhouettes and materials.

Westward Bound approaches this heritage from a contemporary perspective. Instead of reproducing traditional lace garments, the collection translates their decorative language into original printed artwork developed for natural rubber latex. The delicacy associated with lace is set against the smooth surface and sculptural character of latex, creating a deliberate contrast between historical influence and modern material design.

    Exclusive Lace-Print Artwork

The collection does not use conventional textile lace. Its defining detail is an exclusive lace motif printed onto natural rubber latex sheeting, preserving the characteristic surface of latex while introducing intricate ornamental pattern.

Printed areas are considered alongside plain latex panels, trims, garment proportions and construction lines. Depending on the design, the lace-print artwork may provide a focused insert, define a particular section or continue across a larger area of the garment. Its placement brings depth and visual texture without obscuring the underlying silhouette.

This relationship between artwork and construction allows the lace motif to move across different forms while retaining a coherent identity. Each interpretation belongs recognisably to Bordelle-L'Amour, yet responds individually to the proportions and structure of the garment.

A Broad Collection of Coordinating Designs

Bordelle-L'Amour extends across latex catsuits, dresses, corsetry, lingerie, skirts, shirts, tops, boleros, leggings and coordinating accessories. The collection also includes selected men’s designs, allowing its lace-print identity to be interpreted across different silhouettes and garment types.

Individual pieces can introduce a focused area of ornamental print, while complementary designs allow the lace artwork, plain latex and coordinating details to continue through a more complete look. This breadth gives the collection versatility without losing the decorative language that connects its 78 designs.

Available colours, contrasts and print placements vary by product. Each garment page shows the combinations offered for that design, together with its construction details and coordinating pieces.

    Developed & Handcrafted in Plymouth

Every piece is individually pattern-cut, handcrafted and meticulously finished in our Plymouth workshop from natural rubber latex (NRL) sheeting.

Original artwork, print development, pattern engineering and garment construction are considered as connected stages of the design process. Keeping development and manufacture in-house allows printed sections to be positioned in relation to seams, panels, fastenings and proportions from the earliest concept through to the completed garment.
