For more than three decades, Westward Bound has designed and handcrafted women’s latex clothing in Plymouth, England. The collection encompasses an extensive range of original garments, from dresses, catsuits and corsetry to lingerie, skirts, tops, jackets, bodysuits and accessories, all developed from natural rubber latex sheeting.
Rather than following a single aesthetic or silhouette, the range explores latex as a fashion material through varied proportions, construction techniques, colours and design details. Streamlined pieces sit alongside more elaborately developed garments, allowing individual designs to retain their own identity while remaining recognisably Westward Bound.
Dresses, Catsuits & One-Piece Designs
Women’s latex dresses form one of the broadest areas of the collection, spanning micro-mini, mini, above-knee, knee-length, flared, midi and maxi proportions. Pencil, hobble, full-circle, cocktail and other individually developed silhouettes provide further variation, supported by different necklines, sleeve treatments, skirt shapes and fastening details.
Latex catsuits create a continuous silhouette from upper body through the leg, with streamlined, zip-front, lace-up and more detailed interpretations developed across the range.
Leotards and bodysuits provide another approach to one-piece dressing, with sleeveless, short-sleeve and long-sleeve designs alongside high-cut, open-back and individually detailed styles.
Corsetry & Lingerie
Westward Bound women’s latex corsetry includes overbust and underbust corsets, basques, waist clinchers and unboned corselets. Each category is developed around its own construction principles, from structured bust-to-waist shaping and focused waist definition to the extended, close-fitting proportions of the corselet.
The women’s latex lingerie collection includes underwired and non-wired bras, briefs, stockings, suspender belts and related designs. Consideration is given to proportion, fit, support and garment architecture, with styles ranging from streamlined essentials to more elaborately detailed pieces.
Skirts, Tops & Separates
Women’s latex skirts encompass mini, micro-mini, above-knee, knee-length, flared and maxi lengths together with pencil, hobble, fishtail, peplum, skating and other shaped silhouettes. Differences in waistline, panel construction, hem treatment and proportion give the department considerable breadth.
Latex tops include cropped, halter, sleeveless, short-sleeve and long-sleeve designs together with polo, T-shirt, vest and more structured styles. Shirts and blouses introduce collars, cuffs, sleeves and varied fastening treatments, while jackets and boleros provide fitted, cropped and layered alternatives.
The wider collection also includes latex leggings, jeans, tights and shorts, offering full-length, capri, high-waisted and shorter proportions for coordinating with garments throughout the women’s range.
Accessories & Finishing Pieces
Women’s latex clothing can be complemented by collars, gloves and mitts, socks and spats, belts, harnesses and other fashion accessories. Latex millinery and hair accessories extend the range further through fascinators, mini hats, berets, caps, headscarves and hair bows.

Each collection develops its own design language through recurring details, proportions, prints, trims or construction ideas, while the wider women’s department continues to include many garments created independently of a named collection.
Designed, Pattern-Cut & Handcrafted in England
Every Westward Bound garment begins with an original design and is developed through pattern engineering, garment development and specialist construction in our Plymouth workshop.
Designers, pattern cutters and garment makers work within the same production environment, allowing proportion, fit, construction and finishing details to be considered throughout development. Manufacturing is carried out in-house rather than outsourced or sourced as finished clothing from third-party suppliers.
