Archive – Prototypes, Workshop Samples & Legacy Latex Designs
The Westward Bound Archive brings together a changing selection of latex clothing drawn from more than three decades of design, pattern-cutting and manufacture in Plymouth, England. It includes prototypes, workshop samples, photography garments, discontinued styles, earlier production versions, legacy designs and production seconds from across our women's and men's collections.
Unlike our permanent Made-For-You collections, every Archive garment has already been manufactured. These limited-availability pieces offer an opportunity to discover individual designs, alternative interpretations and earlier styles from the Westward Bound catalogue.
Prototypes & Workshop Samples
Some Archive garments originate from our design and development process. Prototypes may feature experimental construction techniques, alternative colour combinations, different trims or variations in pattern-cutting developed before a design entered production.
Workshop samples and garments produced for photography may also be included. These pieces reflect the creative and technical development behind Westward Bound latex clothing, with any relevant differences from the finished production design identified within the individual product listing.
Legacy & Discontinued Designs
Our Archive includes latex clothing designs that have been retired from the permanent collection. Some were established styles produced over several years, while others were created in smaller quantities or for a particular collection.
These garments provide an opportunity to revisit earlier silhouettes, detailing and design influences from Westward Bound's history. Although no longer part of our regular Made-For-You range, they remain examples of the design expertise and craftsmanship associated with the house.
Production Seconds – Individually Assessed Latex Garments
The Archive also includes garments classified as Seconds. These are individual pieces that have not met Westward Bound's rigorous production quality standards.
A Second may have a slight blemish in the latex fabric, a minor manufacturing irregularity or a small error during construction. Such imperfections are assessed individually, with relevant details provided in the product listing so customers can make an informed purchasing decision.
Importantly, Seconds should not be confused with prototypes, workshop samples or discontinued designs. These are distinct garment categories, and their inclusion within the Archive does not imply that they have manufacturing imperfections.
Women's & Men's Archive Garments
The Archive spans a broad selection of styles from our women's and men's latex clothing collections.
Women's garments may include dresses, catsuits, leotards, corsets, corselets, lingerie, skirts, jackets and other separates. Men's Archive pieces may include shirts, jackets, trousers, jeans, leggings, catsuits, corsets and other designs.
The selection changes as individual garments are sold and additional pieces become available. Particular styles, colours and sizes may therefore be present only briefly.
Available as Listed – Sizing & Dispatch
All Archive garments are ready-made and offered in the size, colour, construction and specification stated on the individual product page. As these garments have already been completed, alternative colours, sizes and Bespoke measurements are not available.
We recommend checking your measurements carefully against our Latex Clothing Size & Measuring Guide before purchasing.
Archive garments are normally dispatched within three to four working days, substantially sooner than our Made-For-You production service. Delivery times vary according to destination and begin after dispatch.
