Mid-Century Influence, Reinterpreted in Latex
The Love Hearts & Polka Dots Collection draws inspiration from the playful optimism and graphic confidence associated with mid-20th-century Parisian fashion. Hearts and polka dots bring romance, rhythm and personality to the collection, reflecting a period in which expressive prints offered a fresh counterpoint to more formal modes of dress.
Westward Bound reinterprets this visual language through contemporary latex design. Rather than recreating period clothing, the collection takes the clarity and upbeat character of its mid-century influences and develops them across clean silhouettes, considered proportions and modern garment construction.
The result is printed latex fashion that feels expressive without becoming novelty-led: playful in inspiration, yet composed and distinctly Westward Bound.
Exclusive Heart & Polka-Dot Artwork
Every design features exclusive printed heart and polka-dot artwork created specifically for the collection. The alternating motifs establish a recognisable graphic identity, with hearts providing the romantic element and polka dots introducing pattern, movement and visual rhythm.
Printed sections are considered alongside areas of plain latex, contrasting trims and the underlying panel structure of each garment. Their scale and placement are used to complement the silhouette, allowing the artwork and construction to function as a unified design rather than treating the print as a separate decorative layer.
Across different garment types, this shared artwork creates continuity while changes in cut, proportion and detailing give every piece its own individual character.
Coordinating Printed Latex Designs
The collection extends across latex dresses, corsetry, skirts and lingerie, together with shirts, blouses, tops, boleros, a leotard, leggings, hosiery and coordinating accessories.
Individual garments can be worn as a focused expression of the collection’s print, while complementary pieces allow its heart and polka-dot motifs to continue across a coordinated look. This breadth gives the artwork space to move between close-fitting silhouettes, structured forms, separates and finishing details without losing its recognisable identity.
Colour and contrast options vary by design. Individual product pages show the combinations available for each garment, together with its construction details and coordinating pieces.
Pattern-Cut & Handcrafted in England
Every piece in the Love Hearts & Polka Dots Collection is individually pattern-cut, handcrafted and meticulously finished in our Plymouth workshop using natural rubber latex (NRL) sheeting.
Original artwork, print development, pattern engineering, construction and finishing are considered together throughout the design process. Keeping garment development and manufacture in-house allows printed areas, plain panels, trims and fastening details to be balanced as part of the complete design.
