Latex Clothing Size & Measuring Guide

Welcome to the Westward Bound Latex Clothing Size & Measuring Guide. Whether you choose our recommended Bespoke service or a Standard Size, taking accurate measurements is the first step towards achieving the best possible fit. This guide includes standard size charts, international size conversions and illustrated measuring guides for both women and men.

How to Measure for Latex Clothing

Latex naturally stretches, but Westward Bound sizing already allows for the close fit associated with the material. Avoid ordering a smaller size in an attempt to achieve a closer fit.

Accurate body measurements are essential. Use a flexible fabric tape measure and take each measurement close to the body without pulling the tape tightly against the skin. You may find it easier to ask someone to help you or have your measurements professionally taken by a tailor or dressmaker.

Standard Size or Bespoke: Choose Your Fit

All Westward Bound Made-For-You garments are individually produced to order. You can choose between a Standard Size or our recommended Tailored for You – Bespoke service.

Standard Size

Your garment is custom-made using your selected Westward Bound standard-size specification.

Refer to the Standard Size Chart below and select the size closest to your individual body measurements. For example: UK 14 / US 12 / EU 42.

Westward Bound Standard Sizes are based on body measurements rather than the dimensions of the finished garment. The natural stretch of latex and the intended close fit are already considered within our pattern cutting and garment construction.

Tailored for You – Bespoke – Recommended

For our Tailored for You – Bespoke service, we individually pattern-cut and make your garment using the personal measurements you provide. This allows the garment to be created specifically for your individual proportions and offers the most precise approach to achieving an optimum fit.

Please refer to the illustrated How to Measure Yourself guides below. These explain the exact measuring points required, with numbered measuring points corresponding directly to the measurement requirements shown within the drop-down options on individual garment pages.

Every Westward Bound latex garment is individually pattern-cut and handcrafted at our workshop in Plymouth, Devon, England.

How to Measure for Women's Latex Clothing

1. Neck (circumference)

Measure around the neck just below the larynx, keeping the tape comfortably close to the skin.

2. Sternum

This is a reference point used to identify the correct position for other measurements.

3. Half Shoulder Length

Measure from the side of the neck to the end of the shoulder, from point 3A to point 3B.

4. Over Bust (Circumference)

Measure around the upper chest, above the fullest part of the bust and directly beneath the armpits. Keep the tape snug against the body without pulling it tightly.

5. Bust (Circumference)

Measure around the fullest part of the bust. For the most accurate measurement, wear a non-padded bra and ensure the tape passes beneath the arms and across the shoulder blades.

6. Bra band / Under Bust (Circumference)

Measure around the torso directly beneath the bust, keeping the tape level and comfortably close to the body.

7. Bra Underwire Cup

Cup sizes vary internationally. When this measurement is requested, refer to the Bra Cup Size – Global Comparison Chart below and select the appropriate equivalent. Westward Bound uses UK bra sizing as the default when placing an order.

8. Waist (Circumference)

Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waistline, above the navel and below the ribcage.

9. Hips (Circumference)

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom. This point is normally approximately 20 cm (8 inches) below your natural waistline.

10. Crotch

This is a reference point beneath the crotch used to identify the correct starting or finishing position for other measurements.

11. Thigh (Circumference)

Measure around the fullest part of the thigh, keeping the tape level and comfortably close to the body.

12. Knee (Circumference)

Measure around the knee at the point indicated on the illustrated measuring guide.

13. Calf (Circumference)

Measure around the fullest part of the calf.

14. Ankle (Circumference)

Measure around the narrowest part of the ankle, just above the ankle bone.

15. Top of Foot

This is a reference point used to identify the correct finishing position for the inside leg measurement for jeans and trousers.

16. Inside Leg Length - Jeans & Trousers

Measure from the crotch reference point (10), along the inside leg, to the top-of-foot reference point (15).

17. Inside Leg Length -leggings & catsuits

Measure from the crotch reference point (10), along the inside leg, to the ankle (14).

18. Inside Leg length -latex stockings

Measure from the inner thigh (11), along the inside leg, to the ankle (14).

20. Torso Length

Measure from the point where the collarbone meets the top of the sternum (2), down the front of the body and beneath the crotch to the point where the centre seam of a pair of jeans would normally sit (10).

21. Wrist Cuff (Circumference)

Measure around the wrist at the wrist bone. Add 10 mm to the measurement to ensure the finished cuff is not too tight.

22. FULL SHOULDER WIDTH (BACK)

Measure across the back from the outer edge of one shoulder to the outer edge of the other, following the measuring points shown on the illustrated guide.

23. Armhole (Circumference)

Measure around the shoulder joint, following the natural contour of the armhole until the tape meets.

24. Bicep (Circumference)

Measure around the fullest part of the upper arm at the bicep, keeping the tape comfortably close to the skin without pulling it tightly.

WOMEN'S LATEX SIZING - STANDARD SIZE CHART

Westward Bound Standard Sizes are based on body measurements rather than the dimensions of the finished garment. The natural stretch of latex and the intended close fit are already considered within our pattern cutting and garment construction.

Please select the Standard Size closest to your individual body measurements using the chart below. Where a Standard Size is requested on an individual garment page, your selection determines the standard pattern specification used to cut and make your garment.

If your measurements do not correspond closely with a Standard Size, or you prefer a garment made to your individual proportions, we recommend choosing our Tailored for You – Bespoke service. Your garment will then be individually cut and made using the garment-specific measurements you provide.

Please refer to the measuring guide above for guidance on taking accurate measurements.
