Dispatch and Delivery Times

An automated confirmation email is sent to you upon the successful completion of your order. This contains your unique order number, full details of the garments requested and dispatch/delivery service seleted.

Made-For-You:

  • Seven or 14 working days using our Fast Track Service
  • 25 to 30 working days with our default, Standard Service

Dispatch Times - Clearance Sale Stock:

  • Sold as ready-made. Dispatched within three to four working days. If ordered with Made-For-You garments, the whole order defaults to the Standard/Fast Track Service selected.

Delivery Times, once dispatched:

  • UK - One Working Day
  • EU - Two to four working days
  • International - Three to seven working days

All our garments are made in the UK. As such, and in line with the EU-UK Trade and Cooperative Agreement, 2020, no import tariffs/duties are due.

Local Import Taxes (VAT) are payable by the recipient, as per the requirements of the individual country. If you have bought the garments to be sent to a third party, please advise them accordingly. Standard shipping agent fees apply.

All delivery options are based upon the order being fully in stock / made for you, and at the point of dispatch.

Packages not delivered/collected and returned to us are subject to flat rate P&P costs for re-dispatch.

Penalties

A £40 administration fee is applied on parcels returned to us because an incorrect address was provided at checkout, or the delivery was rejected by the recipient.

Non-Payment of EU Import VAT/International Tariffs

All parcels sent with EU import VAT, or International tariffs payable are dispatched in full agreement that the recipient will meet these costs. The non-payment of any import taxes renders the garments subject to disposal/destruction by the holding courier. We strongly advise that this path is avoided.

Dispatch Times

  • Standard Service. Please allow between 25 to 30 working days for dispatch when a garment has to be made for you.
  • Customer Option. Gold Fast Track. Made for you and dispatched within seven working days.
  • Customer Option. Silver Fast Track. Made for you and dispatched within 14 working days.

All dispatch times are from the point at which funds are cleared.

We are an Original Design and Manufacturing company, not a reseller. 

Made-For-You. If not in stock, we make the garments as ordered. In this way, you get a garment made to your requirements, this is naturally reflective in time requirements for dispatch. 

Clearance Stock garments are dispatched within three to four working days when ordered on their own, or with other clearance stock. When ordered with items which need to be made-for-you, all goods fall within the seven to 30 working day time frame selected.

All time frames are given in good faith. We are unable to accept responsibility for any delay due to events beyond our control. These include what is euphemistically called an "Act of God". 

Christmas and New Year Holidays, 2023/2024

Our office, design studio and manufacturing departments will be closed from Friday the 22nd of December 2023 until Tuesday the 2nd of January 2024.

From the point of view of order fulfilment, this time is classed as seasonal non-working days. All orders placed during this period will be date accepted, from a manufacturing timescale, as if they were ordered on Tuesday, 2rd of January 2024.

Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

We sensibly operate a without quibble returns, exchange and refund policy to allow for ease of returns and the vagaries of distance selling. We appreciate that you will need to see the garments to be fully satisfied with your purchase. Balanced against this we naturally have to stipulate some common sense restrictions that are in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014.

Exchanges or refunds on returned goods are only accepted if they are carefully repacked in original packaging before being returned and are still in a new condition, with tags, not odorous, creased or worn.

Please ensure you check your garment upon delivery, you will need to notify us via email to helpline@westwardbound.com within 24 hours if there is a problem with your order.

If you have an issue with your garment, please contact us, as stipulated above, send photographs to highlight your concern. This will give us an immediate understanding of the problem. Where appropriate, we will need to you to return the garments for inspection, and an informed written conclusion/resolution.

Where the error is our fault. Extent of liabilities

  • We will refund your postage up to UK £9.75, Europe £19.50, International £29.50
  • If the garments you have ordered have a manufacturing fault or are not what you have ordered, we will naturally repair, exchange or issue a credit note/refund.

We cannot be held liable for misuse of a lack of care by a customer. All items are individually checked prior to dispatch.

The responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of goods ordered and delivery address is, unsurprisingly, that of the customer. In the event that you have made an error when placing your order, click reply and notify us immediately within 24 hours by email: helpline@westwardbound.com.

A 30% handling and restocking fee, for the full cost of the item, is charged for garments that have been made-to-order; standard or tailored for you. Delivery costs and our Fast Track service are not refundable.

Postage discounts/special offers based upon value at the point of sale may become void. This sum becomes automatically payable and will be deducted from any refund/credit due.

If you have ordered the wrong size, please return the garment for an exchange to the correct size.

Size exchanges/alterations are subject to a handling fee of 25% of the full cost of the item. The original garment/s having been made specifically for you, either as a Standard Size or as Tailored for You item. If Fast Track is required for this exchange, you will be charged this service fee again.

We cannot accept garments back in a dressing aid or shine has been applied to the latex, please ensure you use only a non-perfumed talcum powder when trying the garment on.

Damage to the garment or faults caused by neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear are not covered. In the event of an issue with a garment we may request a photograph prior to it being returned to us. This will help ascertain the best course of action.

We reserve the right to offer a repair or exchange for damaged goods, a refund will only be offered at our discretion.

All exchanges must include postage unless there is a proven fault in manufacture, in which case postage to us will be refunded and replacement item sent free of carriage charges. All goods are inspected prior to dispatch to mitigate such a situation.

Hygiene Clause - Garments of an 'intimate nature', such as thongs and briefs are unable to be returned for reasons of health protection and hygiene.

You must notify us of any return within 14 days of delivery, you have another 14 days to return the goods to us.

We cannot accept goods returned later than 28 days from delivery to you.

All returns must be sent Insured and to be signed for by us on delivery. We do not accept any liability for goods lost during transit.

Packages not delivered / collected and returned to us are subject to flat rate P&P costs for re-dispatch.

All costs and disbursements relating to returned parcels are the responsibility of the customer, and will be billed accordingly. This includes a deduction from any credit/refund that may fall due. 

Additional Requirements when Returning Goods from Outside of the UK

  • The following information must be clearly written on the customs form: 'RETURNED GOODS (CLOTHING). NO COMMERCIAL VALUE".
  • Please ensure that you complete all courier paperwork confirming that the items are being returned to their original country of export. This may involve attaching a copy of your invoice from us as proof. Failure to follow these instructions will render customs liable on the return.
  • We will regrettably refuse/invoice you the full cost for any parcels that have had this charge added. The onus naturally falls upon you to ensure all documentation is completed correctly and in full.
  • Local import taxes and tariffs are non-refundable.
  • Please retain a copy of the Customs form (CN23) completed when returning the item as well as your receipt of posting. These may be required by customs when we return the item to you.


Fast Track Surcharge

The Fast Track surcharge classes as a service provided and as such does not form part of the material value of a garment. The base price of the returned garment being as originally shown (minus Fast Track charge) and it is this price that will be exchanged against, credited or refunded. 

How long will it take until I get my money back?

We will refund you within 14 days.

The Consumer Contracts Regulations have applied since 13 June 2014 and replace the Distance Selling Regulations 2000. 

Remember, refunds can only be given on items which are returned to us within the time frame stipulated above. 

All Bank Fees are the responsibility of the payee. 

Instructions on how to return goods to Westward Bound

Please put in writing why you are returning your garment and let us know what you require: exchange / help with sizing, a credit or a refund. Once you have done this please wrap the items with care, package securely and send it to the address below*. 

Return of latex garments

Ensure you place tissue paper between the latex and any metal fastenings or buttons to avoid any possibility of staining. Any goods not wrapped as such and suffering from consequential staining can not be accepted as a return. 

We cannot accept garments back in a dressing aid or shine has been applied to the latex, please ensure you use only a non-perfumed talcum powder when trying the garment on.

We advise you send by special delivery or recorded post. We can not accept responsibility for items lost in transit.
