The Femme-A-Licious Couture Collection takes its creative direction from the traditions of French dressmaking and the enduring influence of Paris as a centre of fashion. Graceful proportions, decorative detail, and carefully shaped silhouettes form the foundation of a collection interpreted through contemporary British latex design.
Rather than reproducing historical garments or established couture styles, Westward Bound draws upon their underlying design principles. Balance, proportion and ornamental detail are reconsidered for natural rubber latex, giving the collection its own modern identity while retaining the poise associated with its Parisian influences.
Bows, Frills, Pleating & Graceful Shaping
Bows, softly structured frills, pleating and sculptural shaping form the principal design language of Femme-A-Licious. These details appear in different scales and positions across the collection, defining necklines, sleeves, waistlines, hems and coordinating accessories.
The qualities of latex give familiar couture-inspired elements a new character. Pleats create rhythm and controlled volume, frills bring movement to close-fitting silhouettes, and bows provide focused points of detail. Original pattern engineering ensures that these decorative features remain integrated with the structure and proportions of each garment.
This balance between ornament and construction gives the collection its coherence. Each design has its own silhouette, yet recurring details keep it recognisably part of Femme-A-Licious.
A Coordinated Collection for Women
The collection extends across women’s latex dresses, a catsuit, corsetry, skirts, tops, boleros, a leotard, leggings, trousers, lingerie, hosiery, gloves, mitts, millinery and coordinating accessories.
Individual garments can introduce a particular Femme-A-Licious detail, while complementary pieces allow bows, frills, pleating and carefully balanced colour combinations to continue across a coordinated look. Designed & Handcrafted in Plymouth
Every Femme-A-Licious design is individually developed, pattern-cut, handcrafted and meticulously finished in our Plymouth workshop from natural rubber latex (NRL) sheeting.
Designers, pattern cutters and specialist garment makers work within the same in-house process, connecting original concepts with pattern development, construction and final finishing. This close relationship between creative and technical work allows decorative details to be resolved alongside fit, proportion and the complete garment silhouette.

From Montréal to Plymouth
The Femme-A-Licious Couture Collection was originally unveiled during a Westward Bound fashion presentation in Montréal, Quebec. That presentation established the collection’s central idea: Parisian-influenced design interpreted through the materials, technical knowledge and creative perspective of an independent British fashion house.
Femme-A-Licious remains an important part of Westward Bound’s design heritage.
